occupational therapist and owner

Lisa Chisholm

As the founder of Kind Minds OT, Lisa built the practice on the belief that meaningful growth begins with feeling safe and understood. Every person deserves care that recognizes who they are, honours their strengths, and meets them where they are.

Lisa is a registered occupational therapist with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy and over eleven years of clinical experience supporting children, teens, and adults with complex regulation, sensory, behavioural, and mental health needs. Her practice is grounded in sensory processing, trauma-informed care, emotional regulation, and neurodiversity-affirming practice. She takes a collaborative, client-centred approach that values each person's unique experiences, strengths, and goals.

Lisa is passionate about making high-quality occupational therapy accessible to communities that are often underserved. In addition to providing services at the Kind Minds clinic in New Glasgow, she offers select home and community visits in Truro and Antigonish on designated travel days, bringing meaningful, individualized support to clients across rural Nova Scotia.
